“Some Missing Pages in American History” was presented by Boston’s Academy of Musical Art under the direction of Anna Bobbitt-Gardner, director of the Massachusetts Negro History Week Program. Its stated purpose was “to bring greater enlightenment to the part the Colored man played in the molding of American History and to create a deeper understanding and appreciation of his contributions to our civilization.” The program was presented for several years.
