Cambridge Women’s Oral History Project flyer and postcard (1981)
The Cambridge Women’s Oral History Project began in the fall of 1980,with funding from the Cambridge Arts Council. For the project, young women, often high school girls, received training to record the oral histories of older local women. The project’s goal was not only to preserve the histories of these women, but also to encourage inter-generational interaction and to improve the younger generations’ understanding of women’s history. From the Oral History Center records.
